Upon inquiring about one of their sale horse, I was immediately greeted with respect, honesty and knowledge. I didn't know how difficult it was to find a horse and especially the right horse. We relocated our family to a hobby farm and my dream was to get horses and ride our country trails with my family. Luckily my girls also inherited the love of horses. I grew up riding but never owned a horse of my own and I didn't have the knowledge of buying and selling horses. We ended up purchasing and selling 6 horses that were all the wrong fit......where we were riding down the road in fear, with worries and in tears!
Feeling like this dark tunnel wasn't going to get any better we finally came across a breath of fresh air with Stephanie and her family at Reliable Horses. I cannot say enough positive things about Stephanie and Reliable Horses! I came to Stephanie in late October after deciding it was time for me to get another horse after losing my forever horse who I had for nearly 18 years back in January of this year. I was so nervous about buying a new horse as I have experienced first hand what it’s like to buy a horse that is not what they are made out to be by the seller, which is why I reached out to Stephanie for help. Her many years in the horse industry from training, competing, and selling horses provided me with the confidence I needed to trust that I would be buying a safe and reliable horse. I spoke with Stephanie on the phone so that she could learn more about me, and paint a picture in her head of the perfect horse for me. Luckily for me, she was able to immediately direct my attention to a beautiful buckskin named Copper (now named Hank!). Stephanie was extremely honest and upfront about Hank’s history and explained exactly why she felt that he would be the perfect horse for me. Stephanie was so accommodating, allowing me to come try out Hank only one week after I initially reached out to her! I absolutely fell in love with Hank and was so fortunate that Stephanie felt that I would be a good fit for him as well. It was very clear to me that Stephanie would not allow any horse to go to a home that she didn’t feel was the perfect fit, which was extremely important to me. Hey Stephanie, I hope life is good with you. I wanted to message to say I don’t think I can ever express just how thankful we are for you and Colton. Fergie (the kids renamed her Jasmine (Jazz)) is an absolute angel! She’s the kindest, most forgiving and smartest horse. We’re now all riding!!! Yup, even me! I’ve been so scared of ever getting on a horse and last sat on one at a fair ride over 40 years ago. But I trust Jazz and we’re now trotting across poles . Lucy’s competing in her first show next weekend and Chris is cantering! We love, love, love her and so does everyone at the barn. She calls to us when we go to her gate, and trots over for cuddles. She’s just the best and has been so good for our family. ‘Thank you’ doesn’t even come close. Our hearts are full We look forward to the day we can come and get Chris his own!
